Access and what we clear
From a single mattress to a full property clearance, the job is priced by load size before we start, and the price is confirmed rather than estimated.
Caloundra runs from the older streets behind Bulcock Beach out to the newer estates at Baringa and Aura, so access changes street to street. Send photos of the access along with the load and the quote accounts for both.
Local knowledge
Caloundra the suburb is small and Caloundra the town is large. The suburb around Bulcock Street, the central business district, counted 3,932 people at the 2021 census; the urban centre, from Currimundi Creek and the Mooloolah River down to Bells Creek, counted 96,305 across Golden Beach, Kings Beach, Moffat Beach, Pelican Waters, Little Mountain and Baringa. Inside the suburb nearly half the homes are flats, three in four are not separate houses, and the median age is 58, well above Buderim at 46 and Maroochydore at 47.
That mix sets the work. A Caloundra unit job is a lift and a carry: a mattress, a lounge, a fridge, the contents of a flat being cleared for sale or after a death, brought down from a block behind Bulcock Street or along the beaches and out to the truck at the kerb. Households here average 1.9 people, against 2.5 in Buderim, and 42.6 per cent of homes are rented, so the loads run to one person's furniture, not a family shed.
The streets change the carry. At Moffat Beach the housing around the beach includes apartments, at Shelly Beach it runs to five storeys at most, and the truck parks where the street allows, so a frontage photo matters as much as a load photo. In Golden Beach a canal runs from the Pumicestone Passage into the canal estates of Pelican Waters, where 88 per cent of homes are separate houses and the load is furniture or a whole house, carried to the truck in the driveway. Every load is priced by size, carry included, no travel fee.

Doing it yourself
The Caloundra Landfill and Resource Recovery Centre is about 7 km from the suburb, roughly 10 minutes out Caloundra Road, the Pierce Avenue turn-off at the Parklands Boulevard exit. It is the region's main landfill, the site council sends trucks over 4.5 tonnes to, and a boot of household waste costs $20. One boot load is cheaper than any pickup.

For a boot load, yes. The landfill at 171 Pierce Avenue is about 7 km away, roughly 10 minutes, and charges $20 for a boot and $56 for a trailer. Our $200 minimum pickup is the better choice when there is no car or trailer to load, when the items are in a unit above the ground floor, or when a lounge and a fridge will not fit in one trip. Yes. Nearly half of the suburb's homes are flats or apartments, and a unit job is a carry job: furniture, a mattress, whitegoods and the contents of the cupboards, carried down and out. A mattress adds $30 and a fridge or freezer $20. Estates cleared for sale, downsizing moves and end-of-lease clear-outs are the same job to us. See deceased estate clearance and furniture removal.
Tyres and asbestos are out, every time. Paint, chemicals, fuel, oil and gas bottles need a mention when you enquire so the crew plans the handling and confirms the price; the Caloundra tip takes architectural paint to 100 litres, scrap metal, whitegoods and e-waste free if you prefer to drop them. Everything else from a unit, house or garage is fine.
